Luckless Hawk Jon Patton has limped off the ground during his side's clash with Essendon.
Patton exited the game in the first quarter in an innocuous incident with what appears to be a lower leg injury.

After speaking with the Hawks club doctor, Fox Footy commentator Mark Ricciuto provided an update on Patton.
โThe Hawthorn doctor I had a chat to him he said itโs definitely not his knee, so thatโs great news, but they are assessing the lower leg,โ Ricciuto said.
โIf I was to take a punt ... I think it may be his achilles the way he was holding his leg.โ
According toย AFL Media'sย Mark McGowan, Hawthorn are hopeful that Patton has hurt his calf, rather than his achilles.
The Hawks are hopeful Jon Patton has hurt his calf, rather than Achilles, but won't know until he has scans.

It's been a wretched run of injuries for Patton, suffering multiple ACL injuries during his time at the Giants.
He only just returned from hamstring injury last week sustained against Collingwood in Round 6.
