A Collingwood midfielder has reportedly been subject to 'precautionary scans' following the Magpies' thrilling preliminary final win over GWS on Friday night.
Contested ball-winner Tom Mitchell is understood to have 'pulled up sore' after the Pies downed the Giants by a single point at the MCG, booking their spot in next weekend's Grand Final against one of Brisbane and Carlton.
The precise nature of Mitchell's supposed ailment is not currently known.
According to Nine reporter Xander McGuire on Saturday morning, though, while Mitchell has been sent in for scans, the ex-Hawk is confident he'll be available next Saturday.
News of Mitchell's scans follows a Daniel McStay sighting at Collingwood headquarters on Saturday morning, sporting crutches and a brace as he arrived to undergo scans of his own for a knee issue that could keep him out of next Saturday's decider.

McStay joins midfielder Taylor Adams in sweating on Grand Final availability as the veteran continues to rehabilitate a hamstring injury suffered during last week's match practice.
Adams missed Collingwood's win over GWS and is no certainty to suit up next Saturday.
McStay, Adams, and now Mitchell all shape to be close watches over the course of the next seven days leading into this year's big dance.
For now, though, the Pies will comfortably sit back and watch as Brisbane and Carlton do battle at the Gabba for the chance to play Collingwood next Saturday.
