Collingwood pair Jeremy Howe and Jamie Elliott have extended their contracts at the Holden Centre ahead of the 2021 season, per AFL.com.au.

Howe has penned a new one-year deal with the Magpies, keeping him at the club until the end of the 2022 season, while Elliott has triggered a clause in his contract allowing him a third term.

After a promising start to his 2021 campaign, Howe sustained a season-ending knee injury that riddled his year and is now on track for a return in Round 1.

Howe has played 87 games in the black and white since moving from Melbourne at the end of the 2015 season.

Elliott signed a two-year deal in 2019 and has now taken the option to extend to a third, avoiding what is tipped to be one of the busiest free agency periods later this year.

The 28-year-old had a strong year with the Magpies in 2020, missing just one match and offering as a versatile midfield/forward utility.

Senior trio Scott Pendlebury, Chris Mayne and Josh Thomas remain the only players yet to commit to the club past this year.
