Collingwood has re-signed youngster Ben Crocker to a two-year deal which will keep the utility at the club until at least the end of the 2019 season.
Crocker managed to play just three games in 2017 after 10 games in his first season in the league but the Pies have shown faith in the Oakleigh Chargers product.
Taken at pick 65 in the 2015 AFL Draft, Crocker has averaged just under 10 disposals per game over his short career thus far, while also managing to hit the scoreboard, kicking 13 goals from his 13 games.
He has shown his strong ability to mark the ball overhead while his long-kicking has been a feature of his play.
Meanwhile, Collingwood's lone rising star nomination in 2017 Tom Phillips remains out of contract with the club despite talks commencing a few months ago.
Phillips remains committed to the club and believes it won't be too long before he puts pen to paper.
"I wanted to play out the rest of the season. We'd been in talks for a little while now but I just wanted to get the season done and now I've got a bit more thinking time to really process and negotiate and weigh up where I'm at," he told AFL.com.au earlier in the month.
