North Melbourne’s Majak Daw has made an astounding recovery after shattering his pelvis following an incident in December last year.
The defender made his return through the VFL three weeks ago and has progressively increased his playing time over the past few weeks. In his first game back, Daw played roughly one quarter before playing a whole half the following week and then three quarters in his most recent game.
Daw collected 10 disposals in his third game back, also taking five marks and laying four tackles in North Melbourne’s three-point victory over Coburg last Sunday.
According to The Age, It is expected that Daw will play his first full game at VFL level since returning from his serious injury and surgery.
Whilst Daw is continuing to take steps towards his return to AFL level, it is still unclear as to whether he will regain enough fitness and form to return to the senior side this season.
It would be a remarkable recovery if he were to return to the senior side this season. In saying this, Daw has already surprised club officials and medical staff with his exceptional improvement in power and strength.
