In the Melbourne Magistrates Court today, former Geelong coach Mark Thompson was proven to have four drug possession charges but three trafficking charges were not found.
Magistrate Duncan Reynolds found that Thompson had no intent to sell and therefore dropped the trafficking charges. He is yet to hand down a sentence for the possession charges and a plea hearing with continue on Thursday.
These hearings come after a raid last year on Thompson's Port Melbourne home in which the 55-year-old had possession of almost 500 MDA tablets as well as Xanax, ice, LSD and weigh scales.
Last month he admitted to smoking ice but insisted he never had intent to sell drugs.
