Lloyd said: "Tony put fear into the opposition teams and I know speaking to Dustin Fletcher before a game he was often shaking because of what he was about to confront in Tony Lockett."

"He had a mean streak, but he was just obviously you know, fair with how hard he hit the ball. You wanted to jump out of his way."

"You could kick it long to Tony Lockett and he'd get you in the goal square. Then you'd think he's going to stand and wrestle and he'd get on a short, sharp lead and he was exceptionally quick for someone of his size. And then once he had the footy in his hands, he just made you pay."
