Essendon champion Matthew Lloyd has revealed the best five kicks inside 50 he's seen.
One of the hardest kicks to pull off, the entry pass inside the arc is as important as its ever been with teams now flooding their defensive 50.
Speaking on AFL.com.au, Lloyd explained that the kick inside 50 is the toughest to execute in football.
"Some players make you better, and tell you where to lead, and others you just drop your head hoping for the best when they have the football. There is a real art to it, you've got to weight the ball, you've got to place it," he said.
Lloyd counted down from 5-1...
3. Doug Hawkins
Lloyd said: "The way he could scoop the ball up, one touch, whether it was left or right foot and put it in front of his full forward. Often it was in bogs out at Whitten Oval where it was windy, blustery, but the way he would spear it into the full forwards. It was some of the best kicking I've ever seen."
