Carlton's Matthew Wright has signed a one-year contract extension with the club.

Wright played all 22 games for the Blues this season, afterย being picked up as a delisted free agent at the end of 2015, after six seasons and 94 games with the Crows.

โ€œAhead of another pre-season, itโ€™s great to have put pen to paper with the Club who took a chance on me last year,โ€ Wright said.

โ€œI just tried to make the most of my opportunities this season and my teammates and coaches have been really supportive.

โ€œThe culture we are establishing at the Club is really strong and Iโ€™m excited about another year with this group under โ€˜Boltsโ€™ as we continue to develop and build on our foundations.โ€

Wright led the Blues' goal kicking in 2016, with 22 goals.
