Commentator Bruce McAvaney has named Tigers star Dustin Martin as the greatest to ever wear the yellow and black.
Speaking in the build up to Richmond's clash with Geelong on Channel 7, the veteran game caller said the two-time Norm Smith medalist was the best he's seen play for the Tigers.
โI think itโs (Kevin) Bartlett, and itโs (Royce) Hart and itโs Dustin Martin (as Richmondโs best three),โ he said.
โI didnโt see Jack Dyer or Jack Titus so itโs so difficult, but to me Dustin Martin is Richmondโs finest player.
โHeโs the best player I have called in a Richmond jumper.
โI do (think heโs the greatest Tiger of all time). Two Norm Smithโs, a Brownlow Medal, 240-odd games, I think heโs the best Tiger of all-time.โ
Martin won the 2017 Brownlow medal, making him one of six players to do so for the Tigers.
