St Kilda forward Paddy McCartin has been on the receiving end of another head knock in the VFL on Saturday afternoon.

McCartin was taken from the field in the first quarter of Sandringham's clash with Coburg, following a knee to the head in an early contest.

The forward remained on the bench for the rest of the opening quarter whilst trying to recover, and began walking around the boundary line right before the first break.

McCartin's history with concussions is a long one, as the 21-year-old has suffered five since 2014, with three coming last year.

He has only played five games in 2017 despite having a relatively injury-free year, with McCartin fighting for his place in the side with Josh Bruce and Tim Membrey, who have both been selected for the Saints' clash with Gold Coast on Sunday.

MORE TO COME.
