Brisbane's No.3 draft pick Hughย McCluggage will be forced to wait to make his debut, with an ankle injury sidelining the exciting midfielder for up to a month.
McCluggage sustained the injury during the Lions' JLT Series match against the Western Bulldogs on Thursday night.
โHe went over on his ankle in the first quarter,โย Lions Head of Medical Peter Blanch said.
โHe pushed through โ he was a bit unsteady on it. Weโve had scans done and itโs a bit more damage than we thought.
โHughโs going to be out for probably three or four weeks.โ

McCluggage will miss the side's first round clash against the Gold Coast Suns at Metricon Stadium and potentially their round two encounter with Essendon at the Gabba.
