Melbourne have confirmed a pair of key re-signings, with first-year speedster Caleb Windsor and premiership swingman Harrison Petty both re-signing with the Demons.

Windsor joined Melbourne as the seventh overall selection of last year's AFL Draft on a three-year deal, which has now been extended to the end of 2028 with a further two years added.

Petty was already penned to the club until the end of next year and will now call Melbourne home until the end of 2027.

โ€œWe're really pleased that Harry has signed on for another three seasons,โ€ Melbourne list manager Tim Lamb saidโ€ฏ in a club statement.ย

โ€œHe is a really valuable asset for us with his ability to play in all areas of the ground and at just 24 years of age, his best football is in front of him. โ€ฏHarry works as hard as anyone at his craft, and we look forward to seeing him continue to grow his game.

โ€œIt is terrific that Caleb has agreed to extend with us. Since coming into the program, he has adapted quickly to life as a professional athlete and his level of performance in his first season has reflected this.

โ€œIt is a great sign for our program that such a talented young player has signed on and committed to the club long term so early in his career.โ€ฏโ€ฏย

โ€œHe clearly has natural talent, but it is his work ethic and dedication to improving that gives us great confidence he will continue to grow.โ€ฏย

โ€œWe are excited for what the next chapter of his career will produce.โ€โ€ฏย

Windsor has been one of the leading players from his draft class this year, playing all 18 games in his rookie season as an important piece in Melbourne's midfield unit.

The teenager is averaging 14.94 disposals, 2.94 marks, 2.50 tackles and 2.39 inside 50s per game in 2024 while also booting eight goals for the year.

Petty has decided to extend his tenure with Melbourne for a further two years and turn his back on expected interest from his home state of South Australia.

The 24-year-old has been utilised in an attacking role this year and has managed to kick five goals from his 15 matches.

The re-signings of both Windsor and Petty add to the club's 2024 retentions of Jed Adamsย (2026),ย Jake Boweyย (2026),ย Bailey Laurie (2026) and Jacob Van Rooyen (2029).
