Melbourne has made two changes to their list, with Josh Schache and Kyah Farris-White not offered contracts for the 2025 season.

Key forward Schache arrived from the Bulldogs during the 2022 AFL Trade Period, only managing four senior-level games with Dees and 27 appearances for Casey in the VFL. Schache played in the opening round this year but could not get back into the senior side.

The former No.2 pick has already played at three AFL clubs, kicking 79 goals and playing 76 games across his career with Brisbane and the Western Bulldogs also. It's unclear what is next for Schache and if he will get a lifeline from another club.

Ruckman Farris-White was drafted as a Category B Rookie in 2022 after time abroad in Canada and America playing high school basketball. The 20-year-old did not make his AFL debut at the Demons, instead playing 12 games for Casey in the VFL, with some time spent with the Dandenong Stingrays in the Coates Talent League.

Melbourne List Manager Tim Lamb thanked the duo for their commitment throughout their time in the red and blue.

โ€œThese decisions are always challenging, and on behalf of everyone at the club, we would like to thank Josh and Kyah for what they have given to our program over the past two years,โ€ Lamb said.

โ€œWe wish them both all the best for the next chapter in their respective journeys.โ€

After a disappointing season for Melbourne, it's likely there will be more changes to their AFL list.
