In positive news for Demons fans, CEO Garry Pert says he has "no doubt" Angus Brayshaw and Luke Jackson will re-sign for the club.
With the pair playing key roles in the club's drought-breaking premiership in 2021, their stock is at an all-time high. Rumoured offers from around the league, particularly Western Australia, have been speculated on during the past month.

The two are central to the Demons' long-term plans and have started the year in good form. Jackson in particular has elevated his game to new levels.
As an extraordinarily athletic forward/ruck, Jackson has become one of the game's hottest properties. With an ability to dominate around the ground like few others, his signature is crucial to the Demons' hopes of a dynasty.
Similarly, Brayshaw is averaging 25 disposals a game in season 2022 and looks back to his best. He could undoubtedly command a big salary elsewhere, as could Jackson, however Pert was confident they would remain at the club.
Speaking to Sportsday, the Melbourne CEO insinuated team success would be the bigger motivator.

"If you look at the last (year) and our really core group of players that have signed long-term deals, there is no doubt they have taken contracts (lower) to keep the group together and I admire them for it," he said.
"You talk about Luke Jackson - right at the moment we don't know what he's capable of because he just gets better and better.
"Angus Brayshaw is playing some of the best footy he's ever player and he's a superstar.
"I have no doubt these two players will be playing for us for a long period of time."
With the Demons undefeated after the first month of the season, the positive news didn't end there. Pert also confirmed that coach Simon Goodwin's contract extension was imminent.
Goodwin's current deal is to expire at season's end.
