Melbourne forward Bayley Fritsch suffered a left foot injury against the GWSGiants on Sunday afternoon, consequently substituted out of the contest in the first quarter at TIO Traeger Park.
The incident occurred during a marking contest, as Fritsch landed on his left foot awkwardly before going to the ground.
The 26-year-old was taken into Melbourne's rooms before being deemed unable to continue, with his availability for the coming weeks now in question.

Fritsch was replaced by forward Jake Melksham, who was the Dees' starting substitute.
Broadcast footage showed Fritsch limping in the Demons' rooms, with ice heavily applied to the lower region of his left foot.
The severity of the dangerous goalkicker's ailment is not yet known, with Melbourne scheduled to face St Kilda at Marvel Stadium in Round 17.
