“He’s very quick, he’s very good by foot and he can turn on a twenty-cent piece, turns people inside out.”

Melbourne has opened its doors to Kysaiah Pickett's uncle, Roy George, who will train with the club over the pre-season.

The Demons do not have a vacancy on their list, and given George's ineligibility for a Category B Rookie spot, he will not be joining his nephew at the club, according to the Herald Sun.

However, if a long-term injury were to occur over the summer, Melbourne could place the injured player on the inactive list, ultimately opening a spot on its list.

This means that rivals who do have an opening at their club could swoop on the talented footballer, who played in Darwin, as well as the Central Murray League (Tyntynder) in northern Victoria and the VFL, debuting for the Casey Demons.

George played five games in the VFL this year, averaging just under 10 disposals, two marks and a tackle, whilst also hitting the scoreboard frequently, including a three-goal game on debut.

The Bunbury product's freakish skillset and pace were a sight to behold, whilst reports indicated his ability to hit targets inside 50 was at a premium.

Tyntynder president Peter Hawkins was delighted to hear that George was being sought after by AFL scouts.

"He can play, the lad. He's a special player," Hawkins said, according to the Herald Sun.

"He's very quick, he's very good by foot, and he can turn on a twenty-cent piece, turns people inside out.

"We'd be pretty happy to see him get a go. We had some (AFL recruiters) ring up about him."

George was previously a WA representative at Under 16 level and spent time at the Peel Thunder in the WAFL before heading to Victoria last year.
