Former Carlton and Brisbane midfielder Mitch Robinson has landed a commentary position with AFL radio broadcaster SEN.
Robinson, who departed the Lions at the end of last season after eight years with the Queensland club, had flagged that a move into the media was on the radar after football.
The 33-year-old has previously spoken on plans to be a player advocate in the media and has concluded his sports journalism degree.
Confirming his accreditation for the AFL on Monday, Robinson has revealed he will link up with SEN's broadcast crew for the year ahead.
Robinson's specific role hasn't been revealed, however the Tasmanian has specified it will be in a commentary capacity.
"Excited for 2023 weekends," Robinson wrote to Twitter.
"Commentating for the best sports radio station SEN."
Set to play local football for Queensland club Morningside in 2023, Robinson is expected to reside in the Sunshine State throughout the year.
Robinson will bring 247 games of AFL experience to the airwaves, having first begun his career with Carlton through the 2008 National Draft.
The hard-nosed midfielder would play 100 games in the navy blue before defecting to Brisbane, where he would win best and fairest honours in 2015 in his first season as a Lion.
Robinson recently played for NTFL club Darwin over the summer and is also a passionate Youtube vlogger and podcast host.
