Former Saints great Leigh Montagna has declared that the Western Bulldogs can win the premiership next season.
Luke Beveridge's young side were one of the form teams of the competition in the second half of the season but lacked quality key position prospects up forward and in defence.
St Kilda's Josh Bruce and Adelaide's Alex Keath are set to fill those voids after requesting trades to Whitten Oval.
And Montagna believes the pair will sure up the Bulldogs' spine enough to catapult them into flag contention.
"Good gets Josh Bruce and Alex Keath," he told Triple M's Hot Breakfast.
"I've almost got them - a little early - I've got them around premiership contenders.
"I think with Bruce and Keath, they are a chance to win the flag next year."
Montagna believes Bruce will cost the Bulldogs a second round pick.
