Luckily, it’s not going to keep him out for too long.

Western Bulldogs defender Dale Morris is set to undergo the knife once again, this time to repair some meniscus damage in his knee - the same knee that saw him miss the opening 10 rounds of the 2018 season.

Morris suffered a partial ACL tear earlier this season, and only returned to the side in round 11.

While the Dogs are unsure how long the injury will keep him sidelined for, they believe it's certainly not as severe as the one he's just returned from.

“Dale has been dealing with some soreness in his knee, which he has been managing for the last couple of weeks and is unrelated to the ACL injury,” Western Bulldogs’ Medical Services Manager Chris Bell told westernbulldogs.com.au.

“We’re not expecting him to be unavailable for an extended period, but we won’t have an exact time frame for his recovery until after the surgery.”

Morris has played just the one game in 2018 which could be his final season, given the 25-year-old signed a one-year extension late last year.
