Port Adelaide's Sam Powell-Pepper will front the AFL Tribunal and is facing at least three weeks on the sidelines for his hit on Adelaide's Mark Keane during the Power's pre-season game.
Powell-Pepper's actions have been graded as Careless Conduct, Severe Impact and High Contact by the AFL's Match Review Officer, leading to a minimum three-game ban.
Keane was left concussed as a result of the incident.
The Port Adelaide forward will be able to plead his case ahead of the start of the season, with the MRO also requiring Powell-Pepper to head to the Tribunal.
Powell-Pepper's hearing has been scheduled for 10:00am AEDT on Wednesday, February 29.
Port Adelaide are scheduled to face West Coast, Richmond and Melbourne in the opening three rounds of their 2024 campaign, meaning Powell-Pepper could return for his side's Gather Round clash with Essendon.
Powell-Pepper could face a longer suspension as a result of the Tribunal hearing.
No other player was cited from the past week's pre-season action.
