Greater Western Sydney ruckman Shane Mumford's career at the Giants is hanging in the balance.
The 31-year-old's manager, Anthony McConville told AFL Trade Radio on Monday morning his client's future at GWS is uncertain, with the club not convinced the veteran's body can hold up in 2018.
โItโs more ticking the boxes if itโs right to do so. Weโre waiting with some medical opinion with regards to his foot and his degenerative knee and so forth as to whether heโs got another season left in him,โ McConville said.
โHe still feels like heโs got plenty of footy left in him.
โIn his mind he feels he can go again, but the Giants seem to feel otherwise."
Mumford played 21 matches this season, but suffered a season ending foot injury during the Giants' qualifying final loss to Adelaide.
He has played 44 of a possible 49 games over the past two seasons and is contracted for next year.
If he wants to play on next season and is cleared to do so by doctors, he may well find himself at a fourth AFL club in 2018, following stints with Geelong and Sydney.
Meanwhile, McConville, who also manages Fremantle's Matt Taberner, said the Docker has received from interest from rival clubs and is weighing up his options.
"There have been some offers from outside of Freo but at this stage we're still weighing it all up," McCoville said.
Taberner, 24, has kicked 52 goals in 53 matches this season, but managed just eight games this year.
