Marlion Pickett's court date has reportedly been set, following criminal allegations stemming from multiple incidents last year.
In June 2023, the two-time Richmond premiership player was charged with four counts of aggravated burglary, three counts of stealing, and three counts of criminal damage during commercial burglaries.
It's alleged that Pickett and a co-offender stole more than $300,000 in a string of robberies between December 2022 and January 2023.
Hours after the Tigers played Fremantle at Optus Stadium in Round 13 last season, Pickett was arrested by West Australian police before being granted bail under strict conditions.
Now, according to 7News, the 32-year-old is slated to appear in court just days before Richmond's season-opening contest with the Gold Coast Suns.
Pickett was due before a magistrate in Perth last Friday, but it's understood his case will now be heard on March 1. The Tigers are fixtured to play Gold Coast on March 9 at Heritage Bank Stadium.
Per Pickett's manager, Anthony Van Der Wielen, last year, Pickett intends to defend himself against the charges.
The Tigers are scheduled to play Melbourne and Collingwood this pre-season before travelling to Carrara for the AFL's maiden Opening Round.
