Geelong have re-signed midfielder Tanner Bruhn for a further two seasons, with the local product now locked in at Kardinia Park until the end of 2027.

Already signed with the Cats for next year after crossing from GWS on a three-year contract, Bruhn and Geelong have extended their partnership for another two seasons following a promising start to the current campaign from the 22-year-old.

“We are thrilled for Tanner to extend for a further two seasons with us and have him committed to the Club until at least the end of 2027,” Geelong football boss Andrew Mackie said in a club statement.

“Tanner has a bright future, and we are excited to see him grow alongside our group of emerging young players.”

Bruhn joined the Cats at the end of 2022 after two years with GWS, who drafted the Newtown and Chilwell product with Pick 12 at the 2020 National Draft.

Bruhn played 30 games for the New South Wales club before seeking a move back to Geelong, with the Cats handing over a first-round draft selection (eventually Pick 21) for his services.

The promising midfielder played 19 games for the Cats in his maiden year in the hoops and has added a further 11 games to his career tally in 2024, cementing a spot in Chris Scott's engine room.

Bruhn is averaging 18.45 disposals, 4.64 tackles, 3.55 inside 50s and 5.55 clearances per game this year for Geelong.

The re-signing of Bruhn comes after the Cats locked in new deals for Jhye Clark (2026), Zach Guthrie (2025), Max Holmes (2028), Oisin Mullin (2025) and Mark O'Connor (2026) earlier this year.
