Sydney father-son recruit Indhi Kirk will pull on the number his father Brett made famous in the red and white after the Swans confirmed jumper numbers for their eight new recruits.

Kirk will don the No.31 guernsey after joining the Swans as a product of the club's Academy, with the same number worn on 241 occasions by his premiership-winning father.

โ€œI grew up watching Dad wearing 31 for years so it's pretty cool to be wearing it for the senior side.โ€ Indhi Kirk said in a club statement.

โ€œIt's always been a dream of mine to wear number 31 and to be given that opportunity, I'm very grateful."

Star Swans recruits Brodie Grundy and Taylor Adams will be neighbours in the locker room after being handed the No.4 and No.3 jumpers respectively, while fellow inclusions James Jordon (No.17) and Joel Hamling (No.29) have also been handed their digits.

Swans Academy draftee Caiden Cleary has been handed the No.33 jumper, while fellow first-round pick Will Green will don the No.45. Sydney's third draftee Patrick Snell has been handed the No.41 jumper.

Two 2023-listed Swans have swapped numbers, with young midfielder Angus Sheldrick handed the No.12 - recently worn by club great Josh Kennedy.

โ€œJoey is a champion of the club, so it's an honour to now be wearing his number 12,โ€ Sheldrick said.

โ€œHe was great to me, and a fantastic mentor when I started at the Swans, so this is a huge privilege."

Mid-Season recruit Jack Buller has moved to No.39 after wearing No.47 this year.
