Noah Anderson has put pen to paper on a new deal at the Gold Coast Suns, extending his time at the club for a further four years.
The 21-year-old's contract was set to expire at the end of 2023, with his extension now committing him to the club until the end of the 2027 season, a deal which will take him through to free agency.
The young gun was drafted with Pick no.2 in the 2019 AFL National Draft, quickly becoming a regular feature in the Gold Coast team following his debut in Round 1, 2020.
Anderson has since played 58 games for the club, including 21 in a 2022 season which saw him average 26.1 disposals per game.
Now set to be a long-term Sun, Anderson told club media that Gold Coast feels like "home" and he was excited to sign a new deal with the club.
“It's really exciting. Gold Coast has felt like home since I was drafted and the playing group continue to drive me forward as a player and a person,” Anderson said.
“I feel at home and this is the best place for me to play footy.
“We want to play finals, that's a big goal for us this year and the years ahead. Premierships is what we want and to make the community proud of us.”
A member of the Suns' leadership group in 2022, Anderson's new commitment to the club is yet another positive sign of the direction of the club. The Suns' General Manager of Player Talent and Strategy Craig Cameron said he was looking forward to the long-term future of the club.
“We are thrilled to have Noah commit to the club for four more years,” Cameron said.
“He joins a number of players to have committed their long term future to the club as we look to contend and achieve success at the Gold Coast SUNS.”
Anderson joins 2019 number one draft pick Matt Rowell in inking their commitment to the club, with Rowell signing on until at least the end of 2025 last month.
