North Melbourne have been forced into a further change to their squad for Sunday's matchup with Essendon, with veteran Hugh Greenwood experiencing Achilles soreness.
The Roos were already required to make a pair of alterations to their extended squad ahead of the weekend, with co-captain Jy Simpkin (quad) and defender Jackson Archer (ankle) making way from the side named on Thursday evening.
Wil Dawson and Eddie Ford were named in their place, with Dawson confirmed to make his debut against the Bombers later on Friday.
Dawson was one of six inclusions for Alastair Clarkson's side, with Curtis Taylor, Zane Duursma, Wil Dawson, Eddie Ford, Toby Pink and Miller Bergman also coming into the team for Round 10.
Another change to Clarkson's squad for Sunday's game at Marvel Stadium has been made following a further injury concern, with listed emergency Greenwood pulled from the named side on Saturday morning.
Recruit Bigoa Nyuon has been named in his place, with the key defender joining Dylan Stephens and Blake Drury on standby .
Greenwood's setback adds to the Roos injury woes from the past week, with Simpkin set to miss his second game in as many weeks while Archer is dealing with a fresh ankle concern.
First-year youngster Colby McKercher as another who was forced to make way from the Kangaroos' side this week as he deals with a foot injury.
The club is set to further assess the teenager's ailment over the coming days before learning the full extent of his recovery process.
The Kangaroos will confirm their final side for Sunday's match against Essendon an hour out from the 1:10pm (AEST) bounce.
