North Melbourne defender Griffin Logue has been ruled out of the remainder of the 2024 season as he is set to undergo wrist surgery.
Logue - who returned in Round 19 from an ACL injury at the end of last year - injured his wrist during the club's loss to Geelong.
The 26-year-old is likely to be out for up to four months.
Following the 13-point win against Richmond, coach Alastair Clarkson confirmed the "unfortunate" Logue news whilst also noting George Wardlaw's (concussion) absence is extended until at least Round 22 when the Kangaroos face West Coast.
"We'll get neither of (them back)," Clarkson said.
"I think George will have to fall in the 12-day concussion protocol which started from Thursday.
"And Griff Logue won't play at all. He's seen a specialist with that wrist. He's ruptured a ligament in his wrist and will require surgery on that.
"He'll miss the last part of the year, which is unfortunate."
Logue is scheduled for surgery on Thursday, according toย AFL Media,ย and will likely be back in full training before the Christmas break.
The former Docker's wretched run of injuries continues, having played 81 games since being drafted with Pick 8 in the 2016 National Draft.
Logue missed the entirety of the 2018 season at Fremantle with ankle and foot issues, while he's never featured more than 20 times in a season - coming in his last campaign at the Dockers (2022).
Since joining the Kangaroos, the Swan Districts product has played 17 games, including 15 in 2023.
