North Melbourne list manager Brady Rawlings has indicated the Kangaroos are open to exploring all options, including delisted free agents, as they shape their roster for the 2025 AFL season.

Former Adelaide forward Lachlan Gollant could be a potential target after he was delisted by the Crows.

North Melbourne have held reported interest in the Victorian's services in the past, though a potential play for Gollant heading into 2025 will depend on a variety of factors.

โ€œIt'll come down to list spots with some of those decisions,โ€ Rawlings said.

"Depending on who else we bring in in trade period and list spots for the draft, we'll weigh up whether we look at a DFA or train-on over the next couple of weeks."

North Melbourne is keen to improve its depth and scoring options and could benefit from Gollant's versatility, being a tall, wiry frame with experience in both midfield and key position spots.

His performance as a key forward and ruckman for Adelaide's SANFL side saw him lead the club's goalkicking in 2024 for a second consecutive season.

New recruit Jack Darling is one player who has been added for his goalkicking prowess, and the club plans to utilise his experience as much as possible for the next two seasons.

Rawlings revealed what he anticipated to be Darling's role in bolstering North's forward line, working alongside Nick Larkey.

โ€œClearly we've favoured bringing Jack in with the experience he brings. We think he's going to work well with Nick Larkey, so we've gone down that path,โ€ Rawlings said.

"He's played 298 games, Jack, so he's been very durable. He's very fit, very strong and the fire's still in the belly."

Darling, a near-300-game AFL player, arrives at Arden Street with an impressive track record and as a potentially invaluable contribution to North Melbourne's growth and premiership pedigree.

The club is confident in his ability to play out another 24 months in a more demanding role than he's seen in recent seasons, playing third fiddle at the Eagles in 2024 especially.

โ€œHe's probably played with Jake Waterman and Oscar Allen and played a little different role with West Coast. We think he can be a bit more of a focal target for us,โ€ Rawlings explained.

North Melbourne hold Picks 2, 25, 43 and 61 in the upcoming National Draft with the trade period now underway.
