North Melbourne fans will be buoyed by the performance of their stars, with Harry Sheezel and Cam Zurhaar taking over Saturday's intra-club match.
The teams were split into the Kangaroos' best 22 - barring the absences of injured or unavailable players - versus a host of young talent including draftee Luke Urquhart and VFL-listed talents.
Sheezel was deployed more as a permanent midfield following the inclusion of Caleb Daniel, who returned to his natural half-back role alongside Colby McKercher.
The trio linked up on multiple occasions throughout the day, utilising their deft touch kicking and handball skills that tore the opposition up.
Daniel's foot skills and vision were on display for all to see, with his presence allowing his younger teammates the freedom to play more midfield.
McKercher is earmarked for a push up the ground and fans saw it on Saturday, noting multiple times his run-and-carry through the centre of the ground before finding a teammate in the forward line.

On the end of these damaging plays was mainly Cam Zurhaar, who kicked a bag of goals while Nick Larkey and Jack Darling featured on the scoreboard.
The new forward set-up will give Zurhaar a much-needed reprieve, with the addition of Darling to the mix likely to take the opposition's dominant defenders.
It will also allow the 'Bull' to play a versatile role inside 50 as opposed to a consistent target.
Larkey featured in the ruck as a backup option to Tristan Xerri, going up against Brynn Teakle and youngster Taylor Goad.
New faces Finn O'Sullivan, Jacob Konstanty and Matt Whitlock all lined up for the 'A' team while Luke Parker dabbled in the midfield but spent most of his time up forward.
O'Sullivan was used on the wing and is firming for a Round 1 debut, showcasing his impressive two-way power running and link-up plays.
Whitlock played down back on athletic forward Finnbar Maley, who impressed with his repeat efforts and craft in slotting goals for the 'B' side.
Former Gold Coast forward Darcy Macpherson - who signed with the Kangaroos VFL side - was prominent for the twos, finding himself with plenty of the ball.

Out-of-contract star Luke Davies-Uniacke also shone during the pre-season hit-out, using his trademark side-step and power to burst from stoppages and set up teammates.
It is understood that the Kangaroos walked away from the intra-club with a full bill of health.
Rebounding defender Zac Fisher was absent from the contest, tending to his hamstring injury while captain Jy Simpkin wasn't sighted given his involvement in the Indigenous All Stars clash.
