Fringe forward Callum Coleman-Jones put his name up for selection in style on Saturday afternoon, booting nine goals against Frankston as the Roos ran rampant at Arden Street.

Four third-quarter goals helped lift Tom Lynch's side in the second half as Coleman-Jones continued to dominate the Dolphins' defence, with the Roos ending the match with 20 majors and a 75-point lead at the final siren to earn their fourth win from seven games.

Coleman-Jones ended the day with a VFL/AFL career-high 22 possessions along with 11 marks and 13 hit-outs as he offered support to first-string tall Hamish Free.

The former Tiger had a total of 11 scoring shots for the day

North Melbourne draftee George Wardlaw kicked two goals from 18 touches in his return to the action, while VFL-listed trio Sam Lowson, Jack Watkins and Ben Bath each booted a pair of goals.

After a period away from the club, midfielder Tarryn Thomas recorded 25 disposals, eight inside 50s and five clearances, with veteran Ben Cunnington the only Roos player to beat Thomas for the latter statistic with seven clearances of his own.

Cunnington (23 disposals) joined Thomas, Daniel Howe (28) and Aaron Hall (28) as North Melbourne's leading disposal winners for the day.

The win will have an array of Roos on Alastair Clarkson's radar for selection heading into Round 10, with midfielder Darcy Tucker expected to make way after suffering a hamstring injury in Saturday's clash with Port Adelaide in Tasmania.

Defender Aidan Corr could also find himself out of action afterin being reported for striking Power youngster Ollie Lord during the opening term of the Hobart fixture.

North Melbourne's VFL outfit currently sit in seventh on the ladder with 16 premiership points to their name and will face the Casey Demons next weekend at Casey Fields.

The loss for Frankston leaves the Dolphins with just two wins from six matches. Will Fordham was a standout for the away side with 29 disposals and 10 marks.
