Collingwood is reportedly close to signing veteran Melbourne defender, Lynden Dunn, following the departures of three key defenders this trade period.
Nathan Brown has joined St Kilda as a free agent, Jonathon Marsh has requested a move home to WA and Jack Frost is likely to finalise a move to Brisbane on a three-year deal later this week.
AFL.com.au reports that the Pies and the Demons are close to finalising a deal for Dunn, that would see Melbourne receive a late draft pick in exchange for the 29-year-old.
Fremantle's Alex Silvagni was also on the club's radar, however, Dunn is believed to be their preferred trade target.
He has played a total of 165 games for the Demons since making his debut in 2006, but managed just four games this season, despite some impressive performances for Casey in the VFL.
