Collingwood is reportedly considering signing former West Bulldogs ruckman, Will Minson,

Minson, who had only managed 12 games in his last two seasons at Whitten Oval, including just one in 2016, announced his retirement from the club last month.

The Herald Sun reports the Magpies met with Minson last week and are likely to sign the 31-year-old as a rookie.

The place on the club's rookie list will also involve a mentoring role to younger ruckmen Brodie Grundy and Mason Cox.

Minson played 191 games in 13 seasons with the Bulldogs and named in the 2013 All-Australian team.
