Collingwood defender Travis Varcoe has suffered a setback in his recovery from a hamstring injury.
Varcoe, who has missed the past two weeks due to the injury, was a chance to return this week, but suffered a minor setback at training on Tuesday and is likely to miss another fortnight.
“Travis had a slight setback on the track on Tuesday morning. It means we will slow down the recovery in his rehab process just to ensure we get a really clean recovery,” General Manager of Football Geoff Walsh said.
“It will set him back a couple of weeks. We will assess that, probably, the week after next on how quickly he is improving but we will ensure that we get a clean recovery before we give him the all clear.”
Meanwhile, defender Ben Reid will miss the next month due to a quad injury, which he sustained during the Pies' three-point loss to Greater Western Sydney over the weekend.
