Three-time Geelong premiership player, Andrew Mackie, is on the verge of joining an elite club.

Mackie, who is due to play his 268th game this Friday night against Adelaide, is chasing his 200th career win.

When he achieves the milestone, whether it is this week or not, he will become just the 21st player in VFL/AFL history to play in 200 wins.

Mackie has played in a golden era of success for the Cats and has the ninth best winning percentage of any current player (74%), with 199 wins, one draw and just 67 losses.

Two current players have already played in 200 career wins, Hawthorn's Shaun Burgoyne (224 wins) and Cat turned Giant, Steve Johnson (200 wins).
