We're just one day away from the opening round of the season, which means coaches have just over 24 hours to finalise their SuperCoach sides for 2017.

Fans have spent the off-season watching JLT Series matches to scout potential players for their side, looking at everyone from draftees with round one potential all the way up to veterans who continue to dominate in the SuperCoach landscape.

Patrick Dangerfield would surely be a lock in most people's side after top scoring last season, but the Brownlow Medallist isn't one of the top two players selected this time around.

Fit-again Nat Fyfe is the most popular selection heading into the season, as 59.7% of coaches have him in their side.

Port Adelaide rookie Sam Powell-Pepper follows Fyfe in second place, as the midfielder - who's yet to play a senior game of football - impressed throughout the pre-season and has been selected in 56.5% of teams.

Gary Ablett, the SuperCoach star who had been one of the most selected players for the past five years, surprisingly comes in at 85th position on this list.
