Port Adelaide have revealed assistant coach Nathan Bassett has departed the club following the conclusion of the Power's 2023 campaign.
Bassett led the backline at Alberton this year after four years as Port Adelaide's forwards mentor, while his first few seasons with the club were spent coaching the defenders.
The 46-year-old moved into coaching at Port Adelaide after successive SANFL premierships with Norwood a decade ago.
“Nathan has worked tirelessly for our club in an extremely demanding role,” Port Adelaide football boss Chris Davies said on Bassett's departure.
“He has offered a unique perspective across his time with us and always operated with the utmost professionalism and diligence.
“We wish Nathan and his family well with his next career move.”
Bassett played 210 AFL games between 1997-2008, all of which came with Adelaide despite starting his career with Melbourne.
The next move in Bassett's career is yet to be confirmed.
His departure comes after senior coach Ken Hinkley was re-signed by the club on a two-year deal last month.
The Power are set to unveil their 2024 coaching group in due course.
