Port Adelaide have confirmed first-year midfielder Wil Lorenz will make his AFL debut on Sunday against St Kilda.

Lorenz joined the Power through last year's National Draft as the 57th overall pick of the count, selected out of the Oakleigh Chargers and Kew Rovers.

The teenager has played nine games at the SANFL level for Port Adelaide this year, averaging 18.6 disposals, 4.4 marks and 3.2 tackles per game for the Magpies.

The club confirmed Lorenz's inclusion on Friday, with the 186cm onballer set to travel back to his home state of Victoria to face the Saints at Marvel Stadium for his maiden senior appearance.

Lorenz becomes the club's second debutant of the year following Mid-Season Draft acquisition Logan Evans' debut last week against Brisbane.

Port Adelaide initially listed Lorenz as one of six potential inclusions for Round 16, with Travis Boak, Willie Rioli, Dylan Williams, Lachie Jones and Dante Visentini also named as possible ins in the 26-man squad.

Williams, Jones and Visentini were named on the extended interchange alongside Lorenz, as well as Josh Sinn, Ollie Wines, Jeremy Finlayson and Quinton Narkle.

The Power will cut their squad to 23 players at 5:00pm (AEST) on Friday, with Jase Burgoyne (hamstring), Esava Ratugolea (hamstring) and Jed McEntee (omitted) already making way.

The Power face St Kilda at Marvel Stadium at 1:10pm on Sunday.
