Port Adelaide is set to be bolstered by the return of utility Darcy Byrne-Jones ahead of this weekend's Showdown with the Adelaide Crows.

Byrne-Jones was sidelined for the Power's loss to Collingwood last Saturday after suffering a concussion during Port's Round 19 defeat to Carlton.

However, upon exiting the AFL's concussion protocols, the makeshift forward is set to be available for selection for this Saturday night's crucial matchup.

Port Adelaide's senior side emerged from Saturday's bout unscathed.

In other Port injury news, forgotten forward Orazio Fantasia will be monitored throughout the week before a decision is made on whether he will play this weekend after he was ruled out of last week's SANFL Magpies outing at the last minute, due to a quad concern.

After cementing a club-record-breaking 13 consecutive wins, Port Adelaide has lost its last pair of games after a heavy defeat to the Blues in Round 19 and falling heartbreakingly short of the red-hot Magpies last weekend at Adelaide Oval.

However, the Power is still sitting pretty in second position on the ladder, coming up against a desperate Crows side on Saturday that is on the brink of missing finals after a promising beginning to the season.

The anticipated fixture is scheduled for Saturday, July 29 at 7:40 PM (AEST).
