Port Adelaide have confirmed that Charlie Dixon won't feature for the side this weekend, having suffered a minor quad strain at training.

Dixon was sent for scans on Thursday after feeling tightness while at training and was subsequently withdrawn from the side after a strain was confirmed.

The Power are yet to confirm Dixon's replacement, with a decision to be made ahead of their Saturday afternoon clash against North Melbourne.

Dixon has played seven games for Port this season after an ankle injury limited him to just 12 appearances last year. The key forward is averaging 13 disposals, 5.4 marks and 1.9 goals per game.

Kane Farrell, Lachie Jones, Ollie Lord and Jackson Mead have been listed as emergencies for the Round 9 clash.

Port Adelaide will face North Melbourne at 2:10pm AEST on Saturday, May 13 at Blundstone Arena.
