Despite reportedly mulling retirement, Port Adelaide veteran Scott Lycett has reportedly drawn interest from a trifecta of Victorian teams, each interested in the premiership-winner's services for the 2024 season.
Lycett remains without a deal at Alberton for next season and is said to be tossing up whether to hang up the boots, with the 31-year-old reportedly hampered by a sore knee.
However, as first reported by News Corp, the former Eagle is said to have caught the eye of Collingwood, Richmond and St Kilda, with each club looking to bolster their ruck stocks.
While Lycett won't be seen as a leading option at any of the aformentioned trio of clubs, the veteran is sure to offer each of Craig McRae, Adem Yze and Ross Lyon a handy backup on a club-friendly deal.
Even ahead of claiming the 2023 premiership, the Magpies were in the market for a veteran ruck, seeking out the services of Kangaroo-turned-Bomber Todd Goldstein.
Should Lycett arrive at either Punt Road or Moorabbin, the seasoned tall would help fill the void left by Ivan Soldo or provide more senior support to Rohan Marshall, respectively.
Any move to continue would be a gamble as Lycett would be no guarentee to see senior action in 2024.
Lycett's senior footy life began in 2010 after beign drafted by West Coast with the 29th pick of the National Draft.
The big man made the move home to South Australia at the cessation the Eagles' flag-winning 2018 season, going on to feature in Port Adelaide's silver, teal, black and white on 71 occasions
