Port Adelaide have re-signed defender Jasper Pittard and forward Sam Gray, with the pair committing their futures to the Power.
Pittard has signed a three-year deal that will see him remain at Alberton until at least the end of the 2020 season, while Gray's two-year deal will take him through to the end of 2019.
The signature of Pittard is an important one, given that several Victorian clubs were reportedly after the 26-year-old.
Essendon and North Melbourne were two clubs reportedly keen on Pittard.
“Having been named in the 2016 All-Australian squad of 40 players, Jasper has shown he has the capability to be a significant player at AFL level,” Port Adelaide's head of football Chris Davies told portadelaidefc.com.au.
“He’s had to battle injury this season but we know when he’s up and about he is an invaluable part of the group.
“We’re really pleased he has made the decision to stay for the next three seasons.
“Sam has played an extremely demanding and selfless role for the team and has done it exceptionally well this year.
“He has brought great pressure and intensity and, as we saw on the weekend, can also make an impact on the scoreboard.”
Pittard has averaged 20.8 disposals, 5.2 marks and 3.8 rebound 50s from his 16 games this season, while Gray has played every game in 2017 and averaged 17.9 disposals, 6.1 marks, 3.1 inside 50s and has kicked 26 goals.
