We've reached the final ten of our top 50 players list for 2024, where the cream of our competition's crop is unveiled.

With a mix of their 2023 highs and the ceilings they can reach this year, we've predicted the best of the best to headline the competition by the end of the coming season.

Here are THE ten best players we believe will emerge as the stars of the show in 2024.

9. Sam Walsh

The reigning Gary Ayres Award winner may not have the pelts of a Patrick Cripps, Clayton Oliver or Lachie Neale on his wall of individual accolades, but is a proven professional with a knack for standing up the biggest moments, as he did last season with a finals campaign of the highest order.

He may have been Carlton's best in each of their three finals outings, and was the driving force behind their famous semi final victory over Melbourne.

Without his 34 disposals, two goals and 43 pressure acts, the Blues simply would've squandered their finest win of the century so far.

With a full pre-season heading into 2024, the ceiling for Sam Walsh is a Brownlow Medal, a Norm Smith medallion or perhaps another Gary Ayres Award. His floor should be nothing of a second All-Australian blazer and/or John Nicholls Medal.
