4. 17 - Jordan Dawson

In hindsight, maybe Sydney should have thrown the kitchen sink to keep this guy, given his last 24 months of development and production while hitting the peak of his prime.

His first year for the Crows was a career-best and culminated in captaincy honours by the end.

This campaign was then immediately dwarfed by his first year as captain, rising to average 27 disposals, five marks and nearly seven tackles out of the midfield, polling 20 Brownlow votes having managed just 15 for his career previously.

2024 presents yet another opportunity for Dawson to significantly add to his resume should he lead the Crows to a finals berth and potentially deep September run as the star of the show.
