With the 2024 season almost upon us, let's look through some stars of the competition to watch out for this year.

We've compiled a list of the projected top 50 players in the competition for 2024, starting with the names at spots 50 overall through to 41.

Rather than naming the best performers of 2023 or the top players entering Opening Round, this list will look at the best players currently with some projections as to how they may rank at the end of the year.

2. 49 - Brent Daniels

Since the Giants' grand final run in 2019, Brent Daniels has flown under the radar while becoming one of the league's best and most productive small forwards in the game alongside skipper Toby Greene.

His pressure is relentless and his decision-making is crucial, especially under Adam Kingsley's handball-happy method of forward movement.

His 2023 campaign after a significant sideline stint with injury was almost worthy of an All-Australian squad nomination, kicking 26 goals from 20 games as the second small option inside 50.

Currently 24 years old and hopefully fresh off a full pre-season, Daniels should improve further as he enters the prime of his career and potentially moves up for some midfield minutes.
