With the 2024 season almost upon us, let's look through some stars of the competition to watch out for this year.

We've compiled a list of the projected top 50 players in the competition for 2024, starting with the names at spots 50 overall through to 41.

Rather than naming the best performers of 2023 or the top players entering Opening Round, this list will look at the best players currently with some projections as to how they may rank at the end of the year.

5. 46 - Jack Lukosius

Lukosius is another high draft pick who hasn't quite met his lofty expectations thus far in his career, though the potential is glaring.

The Suns have struggled to find a suitable role for him and his cannon of a leg, placing him down back to take kick outs and provide Gold Coast's offensive launch.

Last season was clearly the best of his career despite averaging a meek 13.5 disposals; he changed games almost single-handedly in his return to the forward line.

A mark to Lukosius anywhere 0-80 metres out from goal is trouble for the opposition with his ability to nail a 70-metre drop punt or lace out any deep target inside 50.

23 years old, he is entering his prime and will certainly be one of Hardwick's favourite new toys of 2024.
