With the 2024 season almost upon us, let's look through some stars of the competition to watch out for this year.

We've compiled a list of the projected top 50 players in the competition for 2024, starting with the names at spots 50 overall through to 41.

Rather than naming the best performers of 2023 or the top players entering Opening Round, this list will look at the best players currently with some projections as to how they may rank at the end of the year.

7. 44 - Oscar Allen

The West Coast co-captain would rank far higher on a different squad, but suffers with the Eagles' inability to even compete with most sides and move the ball inside 50 on a routine basis.

Granted, 53 goals in a season for that side is a mammoth effort that has probably been underappreciated outside of Western Australia.

He carries himself like an experienced campaigner on the field with the decision-making and work he does up the ground to give his teammates a target.

His maturity is obvious and has been recognised with captaincy honours as he looks to carry this side out of the slums they've sat in for the past 24 months.
