Hawthorn have announced the re-signings of forward pair Emerson Jeka and Jacob Koschitzke to the end of the 2022 and 2023 seasons respectively.

The duo are among an extensive list of Hawks players to make their debuts in 2021, with Koschitzke having played 17 out of a possible 18 matches this year.

Jeka made his debut in Round 7 against St Kilda, and has since returned to Alastair Clarkson's side - featuring in their past two matches.

Speaking via the club's website, Hawthorn list manager Mark McKenzie lauded the pair's impressive starts to their careers in brown and gold.

"Jacob and Emerson are two exciting, young players who weโ€™re thrilled to have had commit to the club,โ€ McKenzie said.

โ€œ'Kosi' has made a really strong impression in his first season playing at senior level, after making the switch from backline to forward line over the summer.

"He has shown a willingness to be a physical presence in our forward end and has also proven to be a strong scoring source for us this year as well.

"'Jeks' has also made some great improvement in his game over the past 12 months and it's been pleasing to see him also get his opportunity at senior level this year.
