Just a single vote is all that separates our 2024 MVP leader Patrick Cripps and Collingwood ace Nick Daicos atop our leaderboard, while three other contenders in the chasing pack all managed to poll votes over the weekend also.

Cripps added nine votes to his season total to take his tally to 214 for the year, with Daicos' 16-vote effort in the same game seeing the young Magpie move past the 200-vote barrier and sit one vote off Cripps in second.

Top spot is now within reaching distance of Essendon captain Zach Merrett also, with the Bombers star polling 17 votes in his side's victory over Fremantle on Sunday.

Western Bulldogs gun Marcus Bontempelli also polled strongly, being one of five players to amass a perfect 20-vote game for Round 21. The stellar performance against Melbourne moves Bontempelli into fourth overall on 185 votes and keeps the Dogs skipper in the race with three rounds to go.

Brisbane's Lachie Neale also polled in Round 21, adding eight votes to his season tally to see all of our current top five contenders poll over the weekend.

That shift has seen Swan Isaac Heeney drop to sixth, with the Sydney star managing just seven votes since Round 14.

Albeit unlikely to come to fruition, Heeney remains a chance to still claim our MVP title, with Fremantle's Caleb Serong the only other live contender currently outside the top five.

Joining Bontempelli with unanimous BOG performances over the weekend were North Melbourne's Luke Davies-Uniacke, Cats forward Jeremy Cameron, Port Adelaide onballer Willem Drew and Carlton's George Hewett - who polled perfectly in a loss to Collingwood.

GWS spearhead Jesse Hogan (19 votes) also polled strongly in his match-winning performance against Hawthorn.
