Following the nine-part series ranking each AFL club's positional lines, it is time to review each AFL team's list in its entirety and determine which sides can enter 2025 with full confidence in the talent on their list.

While some clubs may be star-studded in one spot, this list will take the entire squad into account, looking into the depth, firepower, and performances in 2024 across all three areas of the field.

Those who have been consistently at the top of the rankings throughout our series will undoubtedly find themselves at the top of the board once again, but those who popped into the top six just once, or those who had a starkly low ranking in comparison to their other results, may find themselves dropped to midtable or below.

So, here is the concluding chapter to Zero Hanger's pre-season list rankings, signifying the best and worst teams on paper for the year ahead.

7. Port Adelaide

(Backline ranking: eighth; Midfield ranking: sixth; Forward line ranking: sixth)

The Power were consistently placed in the upper echelon of each positional line's rankings, with a solid age profile and depth across the majority of the field.

Their list is not the most eye-catching by any means, but Port Adelaide are well-equipped with dependable role players to go along with their few stars.

It's hence why the club has consistently contended for finals for so long, only recording a losing win-loss record twice in the last ten years.

The loss of Dan Houston could impact the defence but imports Jack Lukosius and Joe Richards will bolster the team's depth in other areas of the ground.

As their three rankings suggest, it's arguably the most well-rounded list in the competition without a glaring weak point, and positions the Power well for another finals appearance next season.
